NARRATIVE DESIGNER
Jon is the Narrative Designer at Coatsink, a video game developer and publisher in the north-east. Responsible for writing Augmented Empire, Shadow Point, Transformers Battlegrounds, Jurassic World Aftermath, and the recently-announced Moonglow Bay.
ABOUT ME
I started out in the UK games industry in 2007, working as tester for Codemasters then Activision on franchises such as Overlord, DJ Hero and Guitar Hero. After moving to Newcastle half a decade ago, Coatsink took a chance on this unproven upstart to pen their latest project with Oculus Studios, a 12-hour RPG for VR.
The following year, Augmented Empire was released to critical acclaim. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of working with some of the most talented developers, actors and studios in the world. I’ve spoken at GDC, EGX and PGC, written guest blogs for Oculus and become a member of BAFTA.
The following titles were developed or published by Coatsink for which I devised the stories, wrote the scripts, and co-directed the recording sessions.
JURASSIC WORLD AFTERMATH

THEY SUSPECT NOTHING

They Suspect Nothing is a comedy mini-game collection about robots and deception. As the last human on earth, you must infiltrate a robot-only society by completing a series of bizarre human detection tests. It features a fully-voiced cast including Academy Award winner Jim Broadbent.
